April Challenges
You have from now until midnight Eastern time on April 30th to complete these challenges. You may complete as many projects using each challenge as you wish. Each project will earn you an entry into our monthly prize drawing. Please upload your entries using Linky Tools at the end of this post to be eligible for the Grand Prize, a drawing we do with all of our monthly challenge entries uploaded from the month of April.
Alissa's Alphabet Challenge
For my April challenge this month, I'd like you to alter an alphabet in your stash to use on a layout. You can do this any way you'd like! Consider changing the color of the letters by inking them with chalk ink, mist or paint. Give them a little shine with a spritz of Glimmer Mist or a layer of Glossy Accents. Cover them with patterned paper. Distress them with sandpaper. The options are endless!
For my example here, I used the upcoming April Solo Kit. I just LOVE the foam Thickers in this kit! But after I stuck them down, I thought they needed a little something to stand out. So I cut some small pieces patterned paper out and placed them in the opening on the left side of each letter. I love how it ties my title together and makes it even more eye-catching.
Rochelle's Border Punch Challenge
For my April challenge this month, I'd like you to create a layout of your own using a border punch(es). I used the April Back Porch Memories Solo kit and a We R Memory Keepers Lucky 8 punch to make a frame. Let your creativity run wild and use any punch you would like in any way you would like.
Heather's Make Your Own Embellishment Challenge
Sometimes you just don't have the right embellishment for your page or you feel like playing around with some basic supplies and creating your own - something that no one else will have. Since vellum is one of the latest comeback trends I decided to use some on my page - stitching a sun and cutting around it.
My challenge is to create an embellishment for your page - you don't have to use vellum, but use your imagination and make something that suits your page. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
